Residences Alizees Spa is an apartment-hotel. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and the proprietor complained about not receiving payment from the owner of the apartment prior to our arrival. He also disputed whether our reservation should be honored. We contracted through Cheaptickets to pay when we arrived. The area surrounding the complex was not like the photos on the website advertising the property. It was in a poorly developed part of town with no infrastructure to accommodate hotel guests. Also, there was not a restaurant onsite as advertised. There was no one at the reception desk to answer questions about checking in. Security and other staff members were oblivious concerning how to address this dilemma. We had to contact someone offsite, who then had to contact the proprietor. It took about three hours for the room to be prepared; however, by that time, we'd found another hotel and had no surprises at check-in. I do not recommend Residences Alizees Spa to anyone. Let the buyer beware.
