She was also genuinely funny and generous with her time, which made the entire experience feel personal and welcoming. That level of care was honestly one of the best parts of staying at The Lodge of Sugar Hollow.The property itself is stunning. The wraparound porch offers beautiful views from every angle, making it hard to pick a favorite spot to sit and relax. Inside, the home is equally impressive. The AC worked perrfectly and kept the house warm and cozy during our stay, and the fireplace added a great atmosphere, especially with the fantastic bar area directly across from it. It's an ideal setup for gathering with friends or family.The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain, and the refrigerator is enormous(great for larger groups). Plenty of bathrooms and an onsite laundry were awesome. The house is close to a decent grocery store and surrounded by excellent wineries. It's also an easy, scenic drive to Charlottesville or to Skyline Drive.The style and decor reflect an older, classic motif, but that's part of what makes the place feel so special. It felt comfortable and welcoming, like a home with real character rather than a generic rental with wall to wall vinyl flooring and IKEA furniture.We absolutely loved our stay and will be coming back again."
