4/10 Poor

I recently completed a 12-day stay at the Condor Apartments in Surfers Paradise. Unfortunately, the apartment had multiple significant maintenance, hygiene, and safety issues that materially affected my stay. I reported these issues on the second day, giving more than enough time for rectification, yet no action was taken during the remainder of my stay.• The apartment had no air conditioning. While this was manageable, the only cooling option—the ceiling fan in the living room—could not be used as no remote control was provided.• The kitchen’s four-light directional fitting had three lights hanging loose with exposed wiring, creating a clear safety hazard.• The bedroom television was unstable, with one of its feet attached using Blu-Tack, and the TV remote control was non-functional.• The dryer’s front filter was held in place with Blu-Tack. In addition, once the dryer was turned on, it could not be switched off unless the door was left open, indicating a significant electrical or control fault.• The window shutters were not fixed to their tracks. Any attempt to adjust them resulted in them falling off completely.• There was visible mould on the lounge room ceiling, as well as substantial mould growth in the shower, which is a hygiene and health concern.Despite raising these issues early, no maintenance staff attended the apartment and none of the faults were addressed across the entire 12-day stay.
