Downgraded on arrival

We got downgraded as they didn’t have a room available for us like we booked - she wanted to pan us off with breakfast added for free but we didn’t want to eat a Hilton breakfast, wanted to eat out and about supporting small businesses. She refunded car park but don’t believe it’s really the best form of compensation to be downgraded to a twin room.

The only reason we booked this hotel was because it has a swimming pool - we were informed at check-in that the pool was closed for maintenance. We would have chosen a cheaper hotel had we been told this in advance! We had very disappointed kids.

King size deluxe room was very clean and bed comfortable, the couch was uncomfortable however we then noticed it was a also a fold down bed, the coffee table was damaged on the surface. The room was very quiet and well sound insulated from other guests

It was fine

The room was fine, spacious and had a separate bath and shower which was nice. It could definitely have been cleaner. There was also no bottled water, no bathrobe, no shower cap/tissues. The hairdryer looked promising and then I was disappointed to see it was one where I had to constantly press the button to make it work. And the kettle was attached to the tray so I had to fill mugs with water to fill it. The stay was fine but these wee things make a difference.

World Solo Drumming Weekend

Very good but very busy at breakfast and had to wait for coffee and mugs and bowls. Changing rooms for pool could be improved, but overall a very enjoyable weekend with fantastic helpful staff.

Excellent quality service at the DoubleTree Glasgo

The reception staff were amazing, i was travelling with a disabled client. I was asked if i had a preference to room options. We were delighted, when we were offered first floor room, with walk in shower, beautiful room with double and queen beds. And also close to the lift.
