When we arrived on Thursday, they did not tell us that there were bears that have been seen every day on the property. All the amenities they show they do have outside, but you can’t enjoy them for the fact of there’s a 900 pound bear that goes up each level Especially where the condo side is and my grandchildren happen to be on the first floor and as soon as they walked out, there was a 900 pound bear. You couldn’t enjoy the hot tub because of the bears were in it and any of the other outdoor amenities. I also had problems with my St2dio The first one had mold and the second one the door didn’t close so I finally called the GM and he said he would do what he could. Around 2 o’clock I received a phone call that a young lady named Casey who is amazing at the front desk will help you anyway that she can possibly without getting into trouble. The resort has recently been bought by capital so they are slowly making changes. I mean slowly. Our last room with a one bedroom it was very nice but mind you we were only there for four days. Couldn’t do anything outside. Enjoy anything. Had to get in our car to even go down town when we could’ve walked. There was a couple that was walking down the street from the resort and the bear came out out of the parking garage and started running after them. I asked the nighttime security guard who is awesome. His name is Jack. He told us about the bear and how to make sure we stayed away. Also, smoky Mountains is closed for a rock slide.

Is should be stated right away that you may have to walk a block to the pool. Not all of the rooms are located at the hotel with the pool. We stayed at the part located where guest services are. We had a total of 5 Judd with us two of them under 3. It was a pain. But it was a nice area. Indoor pool was cold.

Great location, can walk to downtown Gatlinburg or take the trolley (there is a stop in front of the property). Easy check in and concierge was very informative. This property is a time share, however, and they will try to book a tour upon check in. The perks for attending the tour were good, but we did not opt for them since we do not want a time share or a disruption to our stay.

I love how clean and beautiful this property is. The staff was helpful and there were plenty of restaurants and things to do near the property. The only thing I did not like was how far I was from the pool. Usually my family and I go down stairs to get to a pool. With this location some rooms are a 5-6 minute walk or a 2 minute drive away. Also, the inside pool heater was out so the water was ice cold.

Terrible check in, which was 3 blocks from the actual motel. We asked for a refund for our 2nd and 3rd nights. Terrible experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone! I'd rather have slept in my truck!

Great place to stay. Wonderful location, clean, nice staff, beds were good, and our view was amazing. Only suggestion we have is to separate the smokers who spend all day smoking on their balconies.

Lady when we checked in was very helpful. Rooms were ok. Definitely looked better on pictures. I knew older facility but looks really outdated. View not the best. Could have used an elevator. Ok for 2 nights. What I did like was that it was close to parkway.

8.2 Rating is way overrated

The hotel fridge did not work, there is no ice machine on the premises and when taking a shower it floods the bathroom floor. They have an 8.2 rating but it shouldn’t be any higher than a 5. We also were pitched a 90 minute presentation for their vacation rentals, which we declined. There are plenty of other hotels at the same price point in Gatlinburg, pick one of those hotels.
