The hotel was very outdated, I felt like the photos online made it look nicer than it was and it could use a refresh. Our bathroom fan did not work and the only mirror in the entire room was the bathroom mirror. It would have been nice to have a full size mirror or a second portable one to be used in the room. There was an odd amount of garbage around the parking lot area. The thing that really saves this hotel is the location; walkability was huge for my group and we were close to everything. If I could find a nicer hotel in a similar price range I would stay elsewhere.

Room is quite dated. Huge jacuzzi tub right beside the bed. Not sure who needs that. Had trouble getting hot water for shower. I had about 2 min before it went cold. It's in a great location but the room conditions would keep me from returning.

The overall experience was fine, but.... This place is not aging well. The bathrooms needed a serious remodel, like 10 years ago. Hot water in the sink was scalding, but the shower was good for maybe 3 minutes of lukewarm water and then nothing, coldest shower ever. The staff was helpful. our room was missing a remote, and they got us one super fast. No cleaning service until you check out, but they will bring you whatever you need.

We stayed here for the location. Great walking distance for everything. However, the sink and tub were disgusting, bed was very hard. The maintenance man literary had to break down our door for us to get into our room. It no longer locked, the front desk staff called hotels aroumd and no available rooms. This was at 9pm. We had to drive home 8 hours. And we paid $250 for 1 night. This was a very bad experience and i wont stay there again!!

NASTY ROOMS! Short staffed. Outside around property was nicely decorated for fall. Inside office only one staff for entire place. Breakfast is a job. Small Keurig coffee pot for entire resort and some cheap granola bars. Sad that that is prime location & such a rip off. Huge Opportunity for a nice place.

I booked a king size bed for me and my wife to stayin amd we got two queen size beds and the front desk lady was trying her best to help us she said she would text us when our king size room would be availableand i never receivedthat call or text, furthermore the cleaning crew sucks, me and my wife stayed a week and the cleaning crew never came in to our room to clean it or give us new towels, i am very unhappy with the cleaning crew or that me amd my wife didnt get a king size bedroom that i booked

I arrived at the hotel around 5pm. My room was not ready and I had to wait. Finally I settled for a room without the balcony and view. We've stayed at River Terrace for 3 years, but this will be my last year. We were not discounted for the downgrade.

The staff were excellent and always very helpful. Unfortunately, the first room we had for our family vacation was not clean, and consistently smelled of marijuana smoke. There were bugs (roaches), mouse droppings, an air conditioner that would not work, a tv that did not work, and the bathroom door was rotting at the bottom. Additionally, our family of 5 was given 1 washcloth and 2 towels for our 5 night stay, resulting in the need to go to the front desk to request additional items multiple times. The staff was very friendly in resolving the majority of the issues by allowing us to change rooms during our stay. We still were left with a lack of adequate towels and washcloths, and there is no house keeping throughout the stay. We have stayed in this location multiple times in the past, but the quality of this visit specifically was diminished compared to previous visits. We hope to stay here again in the future, but only after we have confirmation that things have been done to fix the current issues.

The staff and location is the only positive thing I can say about this place I can see back in the early 1960s this place was at its peak but now is just very outdated it was actually very disappointing I don’t have a problem with old and pristine furnished with taste, well taken care of and when everything works as it should in the room, but this place is just old it seriously needs a renovation. I ended up going to another Hotel didn’t even bother asking for a refund I couldn’t sleep one more night there

Great stay!!

The hotel is in such a great location! The staff is friendly. There’s also a breakfast served in the morning with pastries, yogurt, coffee, oatmeal, etc. The hotel is a little dated and could use some refurbishment but overall excellent stay. Also got to see some awesome bears walking in the river below our balcony.

We had to be moved because of flooding in one bldg but the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. A bit dated inside but close to all the sites and things to do and the bed was very comfy!
