I love That the staff here was extremely friendly at Check in! It was great being given the information about the trolley and how easy it made it to get to downtown instead of stressing about traffic and parking!! It was also my birthday.And before I could say anything, they wished me happy birthday! The attention to details was great!

The Brookside was an older lodge, but lovely. The room was extremely large. We loved the view of the creek from our balcony. Being able to take the trolley to town, or walk ourselves was a plus. We were just far enough from town to have quiet, but close enough to the action if that was what we wanted. The only downside was while we arrived right at 8 to eat breakfast, the food was already cold. We would definitely return because the Lodge was so quaint, but would probably head across the road to the pancake house

A quiet hotel, ideal for rest and very central, you have great possibilities of seeing bears around in the afternoons, you have restaurants, and places of attraction nearby so you don't have to worry about parking since you can walk.

Our room was clean except for mold in the shower..The bed didnt match the rest of the decor and was not comfortable..it was not a pillow top as advertised..it was very noisy at night between doors being slammed and sounded like furniture being thrown around.

Needs some updates. Carpet dingy. Mattresses are horrible. If you have back issues, bring a bed topper. Best part by far was the balcony/patio. Creek is beautiful and relaxing. Esp at night. Bears are VERY active. We saw them every day. Main pools are dangerous. No rails to help get in/out. Very slippery. My friend fell trying to get out using me and my wheelchair as a rail but the slippery bricks made her fall. She’s still bruised a month later. I would come back for that balcony and creek. Just no swimming and I’ll bring a temper pedic mattress topper so I can sleep.

The private balcony was wonderful and even though the hotel was convenient to downtown, you didn't hear the road noise and on weekdays the traffic was not congested that far out of the center of town. There is plenty of parking and a trolley stop right in front of the office and another across the street for the return ride. There is also a crosswalk there. Our stay was much more relaxed once we started using the trolley system to get around, and this hotel is perfect if you plan to use that. There are a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance and the free breakfast was very complete. They have biscuits and gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs, pancakes, several different cereals, fruit, yogurt, bagels, milk, orange juice, coffee, and all the usual condiments. Very nice and convenient. Several people we ran into said they stayed there every year. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast is ok, scrambled eggs and sausage, pancakes ,coffee and cereals, yogurt and milk, muffins and baggels . No tea or toast . Property is well maintained for a mountain lodge, the stream right behind is a plus, very pretty. Overall was a good deal for the price especially since has free parking

Room was not clean. Food crumbs and wrappers were under night stand and another table. I informed front desk and was told it would be corrected. It was not. Spoke to manager who explained that housekeeping was being done by an outside company and she would notify them immediately. She was very apologetic and I hope they get the issue resolved as otherwise our stay was good.

The room was not clean I had to ask someone to vacuum the next day, couldn’t lock the door from the inside, door stuck allot, the back door to the deck only had a small chain to lock it. They only vacuumed once the whole time I was there. I have pictures if you want them.
