A lovely but expensive stay
We had a lovely stay here but not without issues. The place itself is lovely, the staff were great and very welcoming.
We opted to go for the premium room with the outdoor shower however on arrival we had a loud and leaky AC unit. We spoke to the team and they were unable to get spare parts to fix it because of independence day which was incredibly annoying as all night it rattled and droned. It was incredibly hot and the owner suggested we had it on high heat and low breeze to try and make the noise better but unfortunately this wasn't possible.
The following morning we were offered a smaller room as a swap however this wasn't what we wanted to book so left us in a very difficult position. In light of the issues I looked back at previous reviews for this room and I was incredibly annoyed to see that this issue was noted in November and clearly nothing had been done to fix or rectify the issue since then as the uploaded images were literally identical to what we experienced, even the same error code on the digital display!
The breakfast was nice but not the best we had during our two week stay in Sri Lanka and on speaking with locals they also said it was quite possibly the cheapest breakfast that could be made which was also a shame to hear.
We had a great time at The Jungle Loft, the location was quite which was nice however I would say it is incredibly incredibly expensive for what it is and on this basis I wouldn't be able to fully recommend it.
