The sunken king room was interesting, and it was okay. The front staff, at one instance, was not real pleasureful. She was checking us in and had a phone call...answered the call and talked without finishing our check in..thought that was pretty rude, she could have just said "could you please hold a minute". The location was great!!

Overall this hotel was nice not the best but ok, the main let down for the property which i believe expedia should be aware of and specify when offering this property is that they will ask for a credit /debit card at check in and they will place a hold for $150 deposit which is reasonable for the stay but what they dont tell you is that they will hold $150/night of your stay. I find that a bit ridiculous and something I have never been required anywhere else. At the end of the day it is their property and policies although it would be nice to be made aware of beforehand. Other than that they could use more elevators throughout the property and at least a refrigerator and a coffee maker in the room. Again property is very nice and very convenient as far as location in town.

Very courteous staff in all areas. Convenient helpful valet. Nice patient front desk staff. Great bar and restaurant. Grandchildren loved the food as did we. Try the huge pancake! Beautiful lobby seating areas. Wonderful very comfortable rooms …. except for the lighting. We had a group of 13 family members and all our rooms needed additional lighting. A few well placed sconces would be helpful.

The Albert is a beautifully designed hotel in the heart of Fredericksburg and Main St. Our stay was perfect. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful and the room was cozy and comfortable. We really loved all of the attention to detail and amenities. Everything was well maintained and clean and the proximity to many shops and restaurants is perfect. Will definitely plan to stay at the Albert again in the future.

I would have given 5 stars — the hotel itself was great and in a perfect location. We arrived around 2:30 PM, thinking we might be a bit early. The staff informed us that our room wasn’t ready and that it could take a couple of hours. When I asked why that was the case, given that I had booked well in advance, the front desk agent got a bit snappy. Only after I asked if there were any other available rooms did she even check, and then said I’d have to pay extra. When I asked her to make a note that I wasn’t able to check in to my room on time (for Expedia), the manager overheard and immediately stepped in. He confirmed there would be no extra charge and personally got us a room but took around 20 mins of what ever the system issue they were having I also noticed other receptionists helping guests with similar issues, offering them different rooms and even $10 gift cards, without the guests having to ask — and I’m supposed to have VIP status through Expedia. Didnt question it since i don't like confrontation and i am with a pregnant wife a 4 year old. That said, I’m thankful the manager resolved everything quickly. The room was great, and we even got a king bed, which wasn’t available during booking which is what i wanted it. The location is fantastic — right by Main Street shopping and very walkable.

Tv didnt work in the room. So they upgraded me the second night and wiped away amenity fees since the $10 foos credit wasn't offered. Upgraded my room since the tv wasn't working properly. Staff is great. The property is awesome! Super Dog Friendly throghout!
