Can’t say I was all that impressed….especially given what we paid. It’s a very beautiful hotel, stunning staircase, marble and gold, high ceilings and concierge and front staff were very friendly. Ive never stayed at a hotel that almost encourages you to opted of the cleaning service, so I’m not sure if this is a common thing or not. It was a beautiful hotel that had so much to offer but fell waaayyy short with a few things. First, we were on the 4th floor at the end of the longest hallway I’ve ever seen….almost needed a shuttle to get back and forth. Two of the 3 nights, the elevator was broken. So with the long hallway this was quite the workout. The bathroom in the room was TINY and there was no fan/ventilation, so the room always smelled damp with an odour I just can’t describe. Because the bathroom is located right at the front door, the smell hits you like a ton of bricks every time you walked in the door. The sink took forever to drain and there were only slippers, no robes (which our friends had in their room). The icing on the cake was that we only had one nightstand. The room was big and could totally accommodated two, so I had to have my phone and watch laying on the floor next to one side of the bed, in order to charge it and for me to see the time. The staff were so confused when I asked them about it. The compensation they provided was two days of breakfast. And because I booked via Expedia, they wouldn’t provide a discount on the nightly rate.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. We had the Deluxe Room (Grand) and it was well appointed and spacious. Really quiet too! We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Frankfurt.

Ideally situated for its convenience to not only the central train station but also to many local sites and the river. Loads of restaurants around. Many transit options, whether by tram, underground, or the train station, the greater Frankfurt area is easily at your disposal. The hotel itself, although grand with years of history behind it, it was a bit unfortunate the renovation in the hotel, on our floor, and the larger construction project on the street outside our room was not mentioned at the time of booking or upon check in. With both projects starting work at 730 in the morning, it was a bit of a rude awakening. There was also an issue with housekeeping knocking on our door a bit early in the morning even though we had the do not disturb on the door. Hotel does have some amazing facilities, in the bar, spa, smoking lounge, and brasserie. As well as some great employees to take care of you while lodging at the property.

Everyone who worked there was so polite and helpful. I felt very safe, and my room was absolutely gorgeous. The location was wonderful for me to go on various daily tours with different companies. I was also able to walk to many different exhibits and restaurants. Shopping was close by. Location was wonderful! Also, the breakfast was an amazing buffet.
