Fantastic hotel that feels like a home away from home. Great breakfast, wonderful staff, huge rooms with comfy bed, kitchenette and balcony. There is am excellent German and an Italian restaurants 3 blocks away plus a grocery store, pharmacy, gelato store and a bakery. The river is gorgeous and some rooms have views. The hotel has a bar with light snacks, a gym and laundry. I would definitely return again!

I have been traveling internationally for business for decades and I have never had a hotel experience like Rioca. How this magnificent chain has managed to make you feel at home the moment you enter the property, it is pure magic and hard work. It's not only the property set up, but the team members working every aspect of hospitality make the experience unforgettable. In fact, it even felt like a family, which is unreal for a hotel. The room was large with a balcony, a small kitchenette, amenities in the bath area, and a room swing for relaxation. Breakfast offers a good variety as as various eating areas for breakfast, and a good size lounge to relax and meet with friends, plus laundry. The only thing I would change is to have daily coffee packs in the room, but it's minor compared to all the other benefits. If you are considering staying at this hotel, I suggest you try it. Rioca might well be revolutionizing the future of hospitality. Well done!!!!!

Nice hotel but has it's drawbacks

The property was very nice and new looking. Has a contemporary look with Brazilian vibes and nicely appointed. The room was very spacious with a kitchenette and couch. The bathroom was also a good size. There was a small balcony with chairs overlooking the river. The staff were very friendly. This hotel is about a 15-20 minute drive from the center of town and restaurants-definitely not walkable. It is in a more industrialized area plus lots of apartments but it did feel safe and was quiet. There is one breakfast restaurant down the street and the hotel offers a very pricey breakfast Just be prepared to drive /Uber everywhere. The bed was absolutely torture. I don't know why hotels buy the firmest mattresses they can find but this one was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. Plus more lighting or brighter lighting in the rooms would be helpful.

Hotel is extremely dusty, but otherwise clean. Water continuously leaked from the ceiling in our room, the hotel told us they were aware of the issue before we even checked in - but did nothing about it - we had towels on the floor for our entire 3 week stay.. And a 'thankyou' to Pedro A. and Eisa for being helpful, nice, and just awesome.

This is a very nice hotel. I would have given a 5 star rating across the board but the housekeeping seemed to to have a problem remembering to empty the room trash when servicing the room.All in all a Great place ro stay and totally recommend.

Highly recommend Hotel

The staff was friendly and efficient with check in. The AC was broken in our first room so we had to pack back up and be moved . It was nice to have dishes, utensils and cooking pots. The beds were too firm for our liking but otherwise the room was very nice. The one turn off for our family was being bombarded with gay pride flags on the exterior, lobby etc. Stick to being proud of Germany and display that flag instead. Honestly we wouldnt have booked this place if we knew ahead of time.

Extremely impressed with this hotel. Spotlessly clean room, friendly staff, and cool “Rio” concept. I didn’t expect it to be as nice. We stayed in a suite and it was extremely spacious. I would stay here again.
