The front desk was really great, and the breakfast was really great. Everybody really works hard at this hotel. I loved the location and my room was right across the cathedral so I can hear the church bells which was really nice. The room is small, but it doesn’t matter. I was only there to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was OK.

Hotel in the shadow of local Cathedral. Great location. Restaurant was fantastic. Tip order one meal per two people. It’s huge. I had something called sausage symphony. It was as good as it sounded, but so much food. If one comment not so much a complaint was that at check-in they charged my card. Saying the Expedia was just to hold the room. We’ll see how much we spend. All in all would recommend.

The room was very clean. This was literally the only hotel that had availability in the city centre within my budget so I took their "family room", which was very spacious for a solo traveller. I would imagine it's a decent size room for a family of three. The location was great, very close to the metro station so it was handy. But the staff were too busy with restraunt orders and it was very difficult to catch them to have conversation with. When I wanted to check out in the morning, none was around the reception and again it was difficult to get hold of any staff...The noise from the street was too loud...and windows were all open when I arrived when it was less than 10 degrees. So the room was freezing cold and it wasn't warm even after I came back from dinner.

When I arrived at 1900 the day of my check-in, no one was at the front desk to help me check in. The keys were not in the box out front like the email instructed, so I had to walk over to the restaurant to ask for help. A waiter found the person working the front desk, and directed him over to me. I finally got checked in, and thought the room was satisfactory and clean. Since the hotel does not have AC, I had to leave my windows open and was woken up at dawn to a very loud delivery being unloaded to the hotel restaurant right below my window. When I tried to check out the following afternoon at 1100, no one was at the front desk again and I had to wait 10 min before someone came downstairs to help. They also don’t have a place to store luggage and had multiple suitcases against the wall of the tiny entryway to the hotel. Overall, I would NOT recommend this staying at Paulaner am Dom. The location was central to sightseeing, and easily walkable. But those benefits did not outweigh the negatives in my experience.

For the price and compared to other places we stayed in the Netherlands and Europe it was a downgrade and did not meet our expectations. The area was nice but the room was very basic, no fridge and no air so we had the windows open. But then you had the people at the Paulener pub smoking so it wasn't ideal for us. The breakfast was very good and the staff at breakfast were very friendly.

Excellent location, right next to St. Bartholomew Cathedral in old Frankfurt. The Paulaner restaurant attached to the hotel is convenient for lunch or dinner. Breakfast at the hotel in the morning is great, offering a full array of options. Room was clean and spacious, and in great condition. Excellent spot!!
