This fully updated, 3-bedroom, 3-bath oceanfront home offers unobstructed 180-degree ocean views and a prime location on the quiet east end of Folly Beach, just 5 minutes from downtown Folly and 25 minutes from historic Charleston.

This property is managed by a property management group. We provide a complimentary starter amenity kit to get you settled. Guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed during their stay.

The house is as close to the beach as you can possibly get. You are literally several steps away from the beach. The views are incredible. We would definitely stay here again and plan to next time we go to Folly Beach.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary on this trip as well as our son and his best friend finishing their Junior year of college! Great location and close enough to Charleston that my husband and I went out to dinner for our special day! The view is amazing and a great time of year with very few people on the beach. Loved that we could walk from the house to the lighthouse in a hop, skip and jump away!

The location was excellent! Direct access to the beach. Great beach level deck. Enjoyed the screened in porch except for rusted furniture which was a hazard with rusted flaked metal under the tables. Drainage problem in one of the bathrooms from the moment we arrived. There were some maintenance issues with the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & will return to the area.

Our family of four found 1 Summer Place to be very comfortable and convenient. We especially enjoyed the location which was as close to the beach as you can get, in a quiet area yet easy access to everything. Our rental bikes worked well for getting around the island. The house provided everything we needed. We loved the screened porch and the beachside deck. We would highly recommend this rental.

Family Fun!

Beautifully designed home with upscale style! Extra thoughtfulness in providing games for the kids, comfy throws in the living room, etc. The kitchen was fully equipped for family style dinners with an ample supply of dishes and silverware. I highly recommend this property!

Lovely beach home

This home was one of the best beach homes I have stayed in. It was clean, fully stocked with kitchen supplies, plenty of space for our family, and lots of parking. The only downside was the public beach access at the end of the driveway. It was not bad during our stay but that could potentially make the beach crowded during the summer months. I would stay here again!! Thank you!!!

Great oceanfront house. Very private. Easy check-in/check-out. House was clean and nicely appointed. Generous deck space. The place & location were lovely. Lots of steep stairs, so not great for older folks (older dog in our case) which presented a bit of a challenge when frequently taking out the pets.

Great family spring break vacation

We loved this house! My husband, and three kids (and parents for one night) had a great time in this fantastic house during Spring Break. We lucked out with fantastic weather and days on the beach/deck were warm and evenings on the porch playing cards and listening to the ocean were cool and perfect. The horseshoes and volley ball court were fun for everyone and the house was super clean and adorable. Property manager was super responsive to questions and requests. Highly recommend.

Loved Our Stay As Always!

As always, our stay was terrific! We love that deck down by the water, even in the cold! 2 things: When we arrived, we found 3 pair of men’s slacks in the master closet. They are not ours. Also, the master bath sink is very slow to drain (no biggie)! We will be back!!

literally on the beach, super clean, great house

We just left this relaxing home and all agree that the layout suited our 3 couples very nicely. Rooms are large and bathrooms lovely as well. Kitchen is stocked well with pans and dishware. ..be sure to take staples as they clean cupboards after each rental. Lovely new lower deck with lots of seating. Folly is a quiet area and home is at the far end, so private and relaxing. Beds were comfy and living room great for gathering.

This was the first trip for my family that was not to the oceanfront home we just sold and had owned for almost 50 years. This was an incredible "new" experience for us all and such a gift. SO HAPPY with 1 Summer Place. We visited Charleston on a Girls' Weekend (5 of us) but wanted to have some relaxing time by the beach. The drive is an easy 30 minutes to the heart of Charleston. You can't get closer to the beach than this...in fact, at high tide the waves come up over the bottom steps! The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, the baths were nicely updated, the kitchen was well-appointed, the entire property was in excellent condition. There was even an elevator to haul up our luggage! Amazing views from all rooms, 3 porches (one screened) to relax in...we couldn't have been happier! Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

Very clean and modern. Front door lock rarely works. We had to finesse the door on the deck to keep my dogs from escaping. That needs to be fixed. The WiFi and cable were out our entire stay up until the last evening and even then one room didn’t work the entire stay. We were offered some money back. But still rather unfortunate. We had to communicate with Xfinity ourselves and the property didn’t do it.

We could not have been happier with our stay at 1 Summer Place. It was perfect! Starting with the realtor - who was fantastic from the second we booked. They were so gracious and attentive with all of our questions. The house - is just beautiful! This is our second trip back to Folly Beach and this time we spent the entire time at the house rather than sight seeing (due to current COVID conditions). It was the perfect house for that. So well stocked! (Better than any other house we’ve rented), super comfortable, beautifully decorated, so much to do with volleyball court, cornhole, sandtoys etc., and so many gorgeous places to enjoy meals and listen to the sounds of the ocean. We were so sad to leave. We will definitely return here!
