For the cost of the room per night I would expect that the carpets would not be worn out to the point of almost seeing the floor under it. We prebooked through Expedia and upon arrival were surprised to find out that the charge at check-in was an additional $55 + tax for resort fee and parking. Expedia listed the fees due

The welcome desk and bistro workers were very polite. The cleaning crew did a wonderful job daily. The neutral review is left because the fire alarm went off twice during our 5 night stay. Once in the middle of the night and once early am. The single elevator also broke down on two separate occasions. Last the showers never were very hot. Peak times did not matter, the valve always had to be on the hottest temperature setting to sneak in a 5 min shower. I would stay again though. Beautiful facility with nice amenities.

Unfortunately, our reservation at the Courtyard was moved to the Fairfield Inn, a few miles away, last minute due to overbooking. The hotel apologized and gave us access to amenities but it was such a disappointment to be one of the three that got moved out of the hotel. The Courtyard's amenities are great but can't say anything about the rooms.

Breakfast was not included. Elevators were out one day. For a hotel, they were more than adequate, but for a resort I would say just adequate. There were only 2 places to get food: one was open only for breakfast and the other was an outside bar/cafe open only for lunch and dinner. Would probably not go back there.

We stayed four places driving from Delray Beach to Key West and this was the most disappointing. Couldn't get a chair at the pool, people ran down early am and grabbed all seating. Other seating under cabanas was an extra charge and most times were empty, which is probably the reason why people went down early to save chairs. The room was the least clean of all our stays, our feet turned black walking bare foot on the carpet. There was thick, visible dust on the walls and this was the only place down the keys that charged us for parking, which it seemed they had plenty of. We were upgraded when we arrived to a room with a beautiful view, just dirty. Disappointing after our other stays.
