The apartment is on the 4th flloor (lift up to 3rd), it is full of light and has just been totally renovated. sitting room with kitchenette, large double bedroom, smaller bedroom/study with double sofa bed and access to a good size sit-out terrace facing directly on to the Duomo, Campanile di Giotto and all the other monuments. The new bathroom has a shower. The apartment has air conditioning as well as individual gas heating. Internet access.

This is the best way to feel Florence! come and live in one of the ancient historical Palazzos, Palazzo Borghese, hidden right in the centre of Florence. This was the home of Pauline Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon. On the first floor of the Palazzo you can visit her apartment and her ballrooms. Your apartment is on the fourth floor (lift up to third), but you do get the feeling of the place! The flat is spacious, bright, quiet. You have all you need and you are a few yards away from the best restaurants, bars, shops in town. Monuments, museums and ancient sites are all walking distance from us. The apartment can comfortably host a couple in the king-size bed. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed (king-size) in the study-bedroom.

Perfect apartment for a sisters trip to Florence! We enjoyed its proximity to what we wanted to do and it also provided a nice reprieve if we wanted to stay in & do dinner on the terrace (with a great view!). The apartment was clean and comfy with an easy check in process.

We absolutely loved this apartment in Florence. The view was exactly as it looked in the photos - we spent most evenings enjoying the city from the patio. The AC was helpful and the beds were comfortable. It was perfect for a family of 3. Very centrally located. We would certainly stay again!

Great location, just far enough (and up high enough) from the crowds.We love the elevator and the balcony, the two features I filter for when searching VRBO, especially for European stays, where elevators are rarer than in the U.S. They become even more important for properties that include a balcony, which tend to be located higher up.The view of the Duomo from the balcony is even closer than the photos here let on.

Overall this a great property due to the location. They let us drop our bags off early while in the process of cleaning, were very attentive to our needs and even helped us get a taxi on our departure. The reason for 4 stars is because it could use some updating, the gas alarm going off due to using hairspray/perfume, and mostly because we could smell the sewer. :(. They did bring us some room freshener incense product so like I said, they listened and tried to help us enjoy our stay.

What a wonderful apartment with a beautiful view! We loved our place - location was amazing and it was so easy to get to all the museums and monuments. Check in was a breeze. Perfect location!Why go to a rooftop bar when you have this view from your home away from home. Our host group greeted us personally, showed us where everything was, and even taught me how to make coffee! It was exactly what we needed for our stay in Florence.

Perfect home base to visit Florence

The apartment was just as the pictures show and thankfully, the AC worked great! The location is great and easy walking distance to everything Florence has to offer. The view from the terrace is amazing and loved how spacious it was. We made Florence our home base and spent most of our time enjoying the Tuscany countryside. We took tours with Keys of Italy (Paola) and Truescany (Diana).....both ladies were fabulous tour guides/drivers and we highly recommend both!

Paolo who checked us in to the VBRO was a treasure. She sat down and went through a map and showed us some great places to eat, where to shop and where to go. She walked us through the entire apartment and all of the important points. She really was very helpful. The apartment was just as advertised. The location couldn’t have been better. Everything that you want to do and see in Florence was easily reached on foot or by bus. You didn’t even have to leave the apartment to enjoy the beauty of the city, you need only look out the window. The views were stunning. We stayed for five days and didn’t even see the need to make a cup of coffee, everything you could ever want to eat and drink was just a few steps away from the door. The neighborhood was safe and the building was quiet. The “rooftop” description is very accurate. You need to walk up a few flights of steps from the top floor elevator. Don’t miss this detail if you need assistance with a suitcase to get up stairs or you need help climbing steps. This place served us well. We would return.

Amazing location and host

We really enjoyed staying here. Apartment had everything we needed and the terrace view is AMAZING. The host was super responsive and helpful for us first timers to Florence. The lift goes to 3 and the apartment is on 4, as stated. There are several small sets of stairs to navigate as you make your way to 4 (just to prepare you if you have a lot of luggage). Highly recommend this for location, the terrace, the amazing host, the two separate bedrooms and a washing machine. Everything we needed. Thanks for the great stay!
