The Fernie Log Cabin is a luxury vacation home conveniently located on the Ski Hill at Fernie Alpine Resort. Finished with granite, hardwoods and imported tile, heirloom furnishings, premium cookware, and quality linens, the Fernie Log Cabin is fully equipped to make your stay enjoyable.

Set on 0.5 acres of mature cedar forest, our charming Log Cabin on the Ski Hill at Fernie Alpine Resort will leave you feeling pampered and relaxed. The hand hewn logs breathe relaxation into your soul and the 7 Person Hot Tub under the stars will soothe your muscles after a hard day of mountain recreation. Our Covered and Heated Outdoor Kitchen and Entertainment Area complete with BBQ grill, Pizza Oven, Wok Burner and Dining facilities will allow you to prepare gourmet meals amongst the fragrant cedars. Weather permitting, the Log Picnic Table behind the house is perfect for a picnic lunch. Relax around the cozy wood fire indoors and sip hot chocolate before retiring. The 3 level, 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home with 2500 square feet of luxury living space has everything you need for your mountain stay. Our Ski Hill location is ideal; private with unobstructed starlit skies away from the noise of the grooming machines, yet a short 10 minute walk (or even shorter drive if you prefer) to the ski lifts and the Resort Village. This home is perfect for families or mature responsible adults looking to experience a luxurious vacation in a unique private setting away from the stresses of daily life.

There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, a pseudo king bed in the third bedroom (2 twin beds combined on a large single frame) and a queen size sofa bed in the lower living area adjacent to a full bath. The home can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests including children. The home is equipped with 3 1/2 baths, all of which have heated tile floors. All of the full baths have showers and the full bath on the lower level has a large soaker tub that can accommodate two persons. The home has a well equipped kitchen with professional gas range (stove and oven), refrigerator w/ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave oven. The dining table seats 6 comfortably but with two matching chairs can accommodate 8 for cozy family gatherings. The eating bar in the kitchen has seating for 2 guests. There is also a front load washer and steam dryer on the second level for guest use. The private front drive offers plenty of parking and can accommodate 6 vehicles, including 2 trucks with 4 place snowmobile trailers in tow. A separate entrance at the back of the house leads to a large mudroom on the lower level with a ski closet for your winter gear and ample ski/board/bike storage. The lower level has comfortable radiant heated porcelain plank tile flooring throughout.

The home is furnished with heirloom furnishings and we expect that they will be treated with care. The Fernie Log Cabin is equipped with some furniture suitable for infant children including a pack n play, high chair and perch clip on chair.

Guests will have access to all 3 levels of this home including the walkout lower level with the exception of the small owner's lock-off storage areas on the lower level. You will need a vehicle to stay at the Fernie Log Cabin. Although we enjoy the short 10 minute walk to the ski lifts many guests prefer to drive and park in one of the free parking areas at the Resort. There are ski/board equipment and rentals available in the Village at the Resort, plus dining facilities and cocktail lounges. There is also a Spa, a convenience store (The Mountain Pantry) that offers groceries, snacks, beverages and liquor sales. There is an ATM in The Mountain Pantry as well.

Additional services are available in the town of Fernie about a 10 minute drive from our Log Cabin. There you will find 2 large grocery stores, liquor sales, restaurants, lounges, nightlife, a Post Office, Hospital, The Fernie Aquatic Centre, The Fernie Golf and Country Club, a Cinema, Spas, specialty food shops, a micro-brewery, a craft distillery and an abundance of ski/board, hiking, cycling and outdoor gear, clothing, souvenirs and more. Snowmobile Rentals are also available in Fernie through Ghost Rider Motorsports, and Cat Skiing in the area can be booked through Island Lake Lodge. This property is located in a residential neighbourhood and the local noise bylaws in effect must be respected. Quiet time is enforced after 10 pm. Due to the licensing agreement in place for this property capacity cannot exceed 8 guests. A maximum of 6 parking spots are provided on site and no on street parking is permitted.
