The flowers were very nice around the property, but that is the only good thing about the stay. We remember 25 years ago when Fairmont Hot Springs Resort was a nice place. We were incredibly disappointed by how run down, worn out, and broken everything was. From the roofs to the rooms to the restaurant benches to the pools to the rugs to the 'you name it', it appears that they haven't kept up on maintaining anything. I will not go here again.

When we arrived we had a late check in . We ve been checked in at 4:30. I think it was quite doable to clean the room before 4pm. But, when next day we requested a late checkout - I got only 30 min more. Didn’t have a hairdryer in a room. Didn’t have slippers .

The property had a wonderful mountain view aspect and there was a lot of potential, thermal pools were great food was good. But the reason for 3 stars was down to the property needs a renovation ( very dated ) completely no housekeeping even though we asked.

Really poor service at check in. They dont tell you that you need to request housekeeping through the front desk, this should be communicated at check in. Even though you ask to extend your stay, and its confirmed with the front desk, our room key stopped working. Really poor organazation. Waited an hour for food and had to leave with the boxes early as kidso was falling asleep at the table.

I have stayed at the Fairmont Hot Springs before, but in a cabin. This time we stayed in a room with a Kitchenette. It was adequate enough, but felt it was a little dated. In some ways that added to the experience, but still think some upgrades were in order. The beds and pillows were very comfy which I don’t usually say about most hotels. So the sleeping was great! It was a spacious room and didn’t feel crowded or congested. While I felt the room and resort costs are a little pricy, and food as well, I would still recommend staying here, and will probably be back again one day. I would recommend that you have more than one staff posted for check in. We waited in line for almost 20 min.
