ATTENTION HISTORY BUFFS! This is your chance to spend the night in jail. Eufaula Alabama's old jail is now a waterfront vacation rental. Complete with bars on the windows, this two bedroom rental offers a majestic waterfront view of Lake Eufaula.Fishing, boating, sailing, birding, or just chilling out... this is the spot.

Super cool place to stay, great view, private, cool history. Love the little descriptions hanging in the walkway that give a glimpse into the past. Had everything we needed. Clean, cute, awesome vibe for me and my boyfriend for his birthday trip! Close enough to kolomoki state park and providence canyon, great little walking trail 2 mins from the place as well.

Unique Stay on Lake Eufaula! If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, look no further than this historic gem! It's not every day you get to stay in an accommodation that was once a jailhouse decades ago—talk about a unique history! The real standout is the location and view...a gorgeous overlook of Lake Eufaula. Watching the sunrise over the water was the perfect way to start the day. This property is a must-book for anyone who appreciates history, charm, and stunning views. Highly recommend!

Our most unique and charming accommodations yet. The unit was clean and well equipped, in keeping with their reasonable price point. (We’ve stayed at rentals with thicker towels, higher thread count sheets, and higher end pots and pans, but the price was triple) We had everything we needed! The owners were easy to contact and responded quickly. They have truly done a beautiful job restoring this old time jail. It is the only time we’ve been incarcerated and we loved it. Ha! The property has a grand and glorious tree full of Spanish moss and acorns. Initially, the falling acorns on the roof were a tad startling, until we realized what it was and then we laughed because it was quirky and fun. The view is beautiful, although the water is not accessible. It was a delight to step back in time, slow down and enjoy this sweet, quiet, quaint southern town. I want to make a mention of another review that stated they were uncomfortable with the bars on one door and the all the windows; in case of a fire. We often vacation in a high-rise condo, on the beach. There’s only one way out in that situation also. In our opinion, the bars added an additional layer security and stay true to its history.

My sister and I get away a couple times of year just to relax. This facility was perfect for that. I was out walking and came across a house that use to be a confederate hospital built in 1836. I didn't realize we would be in a historic district. We were close to a lot of good eating places so I don't know about the kitchen. I never used it except to make coffee in the mornings. That's what you do on vacation.
