If however you wish to explore further afield, then situated within a short walk and 300 metres of the property is the mainline railway station allowing direct access to the capital in around an hour and a quarter.
A short train ride to the historic town of Battle provides you with a great day out visiting the boutique shops and independent cafés along with Battle Abbey, the home of the 1066 Battle of Hastings. A slightly longer train journey will also allow you to arrive in Hastings for a day at the seaside and to experience all that the town has to offer including the Old Town, funicular railways, adventure golf, the home of the annual crazy golf Championships and the Jerwood art gallery to name just a few. Within a short drive of Willow View you can also access a wealth of National Trust and English Heritage sites such as Scotney Castle, Bateman’s (the home of Rudyard Kipling) and Bodiam Castle.
