This is not the sort of place I wouldn’t normally call 5 star but for this trip it was exactly what we wanted- we just wanted to be close to the park. The kitchenette was stocked enough for what we needed and it allowed us to bring lunch into the park. The view of the river was gorgeous too!

Great location! Loved being on the river and very fast to get into the park compared to staying in Oakhurst. The property is very old but we felt it was clean and cared for. We would definitely stay here again. Nothing in the “town” of El Portal so plan accordingly for food unless you want the same two restaurants onsite every night. Very happy with our decision to stay at Yosemite View!

Was not able to turn the tv on. Had to call front desk 3 different times. Toilet seat needed to be screwed on tighter. No regular sugar for coffee. Shower curtain was not wide enough. Add one more panel. Bathtub very slippery, just waiting for an accident to happen. Add a matt. Check in took too long. Add more choices of yogurt at the store. Also, more fruit. Lots of junk food and not enough healthy choices. The carpet at the restaurant needs to be replaced. Very dirty!

The river was out our back sliding door - loved the sound of the river flowing as we sat on our back deck. Both restaurants on site were delicious. The location to Yosemite National Park was excellent- probably less than a mile from the park entrance. Had a nice kitchenette so we could make our own breakfast and pack lunches for the park.
