Hotel went above and beyond absolutely loved our stay and well looked after. Nothing was an issue or problem had our little dog with us and they treated him so well. Makes me so happy that there is places like this hotel that caters for doggies l.

Lovely greeting in hotel , really nice looking shared areas lift and corridors. Room a little small but the biggest problem was the noise pollution. There was no warning when booking or checking in that the room is opposite a busy bar with rowdy customers until 3am !! The balcony door and windows are not sealed well enough to stop it feeling like you’re trying to sleep inside the busy bar. Horribly loud until the early hours with very little sleep. We the made a discovery of a cigarette dimp down the side of the bed a phone fell down. Disgusting. Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel !!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel! Facilities were great, staff was also great. Used the gym, explored the common areas, had drinks upstairs at the Common Club and dined in the Common Club downstairs. Few little issues with the room and housekeeping—stayed in the grand chamber queen suite—bedroom had no door so if you are in the living room watching tv with the lights on the person in the bedroom be kept awake. The big nespresso machine in the room kept breaking—did not work most of the time we were there. Housekeeping a little inconsistent with turndown and replenishing supplies even when we left a note, and there were quite a few dust bunnies in the closet & under the closet and sink, and the wall against the sink still had toothpaste splashes from the previous occupants. Overall were not deal breakers and room was generally spotless and lovely. Would definitely return! Location also absolutely perfect.

You must stay at this hotel! Not only is the location absolutely perfect, the room is so smartly designed and the beds were so comfortable. The decor was absolutely fantastic as well. Despite its location, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were super wonderful and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for food and drink along with some fun history about Edinburgh (shout out to Martin). Would stay here again 10/10

To start with, it's an ideal location for visiting Edinburgh's historic district. With much within walking distance getting to see this beautiful city was easy. The hotel, as an anchor point was ideal. Service levels were, as one would expect from a premium brand, superb. From the concierge and the entire support team, through the front desk staff attending to guests' needs and inquiries, to the staff in the hotel's Eve restaurant, who provided an excellent level of attention. (I can't speak for the other restaurant as we did not have the opportunity to patronise that establishment.) I will gladly return to this hotel in the future.
A very pleasant experience through an unassuming entrance. Smiles all around!
