This hotel was the perfect location for our first trip to Edinburgh as it was centrally located in the Old Town. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The only hiccup we had was they had turned on the heat for the season and because our first few days were unseasonably warm it made the room super uncomfortable. It also didn’t help that the windows barely opened although the concise staff did give us an extra fan. Also if you’re a light sleeper keep in mind that the pub below can get a little rowdy on weekends into the wee hours.

The hotel was great! Rooms were large and comfortable. Bathroom was gorgeous. Staff were wonderful and very helpful (got us a cab). Restaurant next door had fantastic food. Location was great - lots of restaurants and shops In the city center of Old Town, just a few blocks from the Castle and other attractions. Town square has a Saturday market which was a delighter. When making a reservations, be sure to ask for a room that is accessible by elevator!!!

The room was really clean and the staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel is amazing with multiple shops and restaurants around, and it is at a walking distance to almost every landmark in the city!

I loved this wonderful quirky hotel. It has so much character and charm! I felt completely at home in my cosy room, which was much larger than I expected. The location and staff are great. I would absolutely stay here again!

Such a great stay at the beautiful Grassmarket Hotel in Edinburgh! Nice room with a comfy bed in the center of Old Town. Staff was friendly, rooms very clean, excellent location. So much to see! I definitely recommend!

Grassmarket was a very cute hotel, Gabby the receptionist when we arrived was fantastic, she was so friendly and helpful. It is in a very fun part of the Grassmarket area and close to the Edinburgh Castle and lots of bars and restaurants. Superior St around the corner has some very cute shops. The room was small however very comfortable. The only issue is the shower floor is VERY slippery, so one has to be very careful not to slip. I would stay there again and recommend the Grassmarket Hotel.

Pure vibe

Loved this hotel, and loved it even more with the wee pub joined on. If we ever come back to Edinburgh we will definitely be staying here, it’s such a vibe!!!
