Property is modern and is in the heart of old town with plenty of pubs and eateries around. It's a very walkable area near the castle, museums, and the Royal Mile. Depending on your room you'll have nice views of the city. We stayed specifically over the weekend to enjoy the night life but do know you will most likely hear the night life as well. We enjoyed the drunken singing and chants of the local lads late into the evening, but it's not for everyone. We did unfortunately deal with a clogged shower drain when taking our first showers, but the staff did accommodate us for the issue.

I had a lovely view (even though the window was dirty outside so I could not get some nice pics). Enjoyed the metal pool and the sauna after a long day of exploring. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However the rooms are dated, stains on the carpet and on the furniture in the lobby and not quick to clean the rooms. There was also a big surprise when I checked in and had to pay an additional 3.99% service charge to pay for the room on my credit card.

Accessibility to different tourist area, Harry Potter fans would love it, the Edinburgh castle was not a push over, Carlton hill was very nice and the surrounding area are worth exploring.
