The hotel just didn't live up to my expectations. I checked in late while there was live music and there was no parking and the only option is to park on the street temporarily until a spot opens. The website says coffee 24 hours a day but when I went to the front desk at 5:30 am it wasn't available. The room was spacious but the bed was not comfortable (not soft enough for me).

Our first room was not cleaned. They moved us to an upgraded room which was a futon that was as hard as a rock, A bed that was very low to the floor and no TV in the bedroom. Customer service was ok. They offered us a few drink from the cooler for our room not being cleaned. Food tasted like it was the leftovers.

This was hands-down the best hotel experience I've had in an extremely long time. The service from the entire Oxbow Hotel staff was 2nd to none. We were blown away by the first person who checked us in with a delightful attitude and over-the-top customer service. Later I asked another staff member a simple question and was met with a jovial response and, again, next-level, unexpected service. The next 2 employee experiences were equally as delightful. I will never consider staying anywhere else next time I'm in Eau Claire. Well done, staff. Well done.

Friendly staff. The room needed refreshing. The bathroom door didn’t close, the sink and Kleenex holder were cracked, the shower floor tile needed bleaching. But the bed was comfortable and the location was good.
