About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Boiler Room - Cozy log cabin at Haliburton Forest.

When your whole crew needs a place to land, the Boiler Room delivers. This open-loft log cabin at Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is built for groups and families with older kids — up to 10 guests sleeping together in one generous, character-filled space that feels like a proper wilderness lodge.

Ten single beds are arranged in the open loft above a spacious ground-floor living area, warmed by a wood stove with firewood supplied. The full kitchen means real meals are on the table: stove and oven, full-sized fridge, coffeemaker, kettle, and all the cookware and dishes you need. Two bathrooms — a 2-piece and a 3-piece with shower — mean no morning queues. A large front deck and a firepit outback with firewood complete the picture.

Facecloths, towels, hand soap and dish soap are provided.

Important note: sheets, pillows, and blankets are not supplied — pack your own sleeping bags and bedding. In addition to be environmentally conscious the units are not supplied with any single use products. Please bring your own coffee (we have filters for the machine), tea, spices, shampoo, conditioner and soap for the shower.

Pets are welcome.

What makes the Boiler Room special: the open-loft layout creates an instantly social atmosphere where groups actually spend time together rather than disappearing into separate rooms. It's designed for connection. The firepit outside keeps the night going long after dinner.

You're right at Base Camp, steps from the Camp Store, the Boshkung Smokehouse, and the Wolf Centre — one of the most remarkable wildlife encounters in all of Ontario cottage country and open year round.

Over 400 km of trails and gravel roads for hiking, biking, and trail running, start here, and grant you access to 100 lakes for fishing, paddling and swimming!

In the winter we are a snowmobiling and winter only ATVing top 10 destination and an ice fishing paradise! We also offer quiet use trails for snowshoeing and winter hiking!

Enjoy an outdoor game from our games shed and be sure to test your skills finding our hidden Geocaches!

When planning your trip be sure to book our guided experiences ahead of time: Canopy Tour, Clay Target Shooting, Ice Fishing, Fly Fishing, Tin Boat Fishing and/or one of our many exceptional experiences through Yours Outdoors and the Wolf Centre: Dinner With Wolves, Guided Fishing, Glassblowing, etc.

Don't have your own gear? We rent canoes, bikes, snowshoes AND snowmobiles!

Ideal for groups of 6 or more who want a real Haliburton Forest adventure.
