"Before we arrived for our stay, the hotel called us to ask when we would be arriving. This was well before the check in allowance and it was pushy. We decided since we were close by we would go ahead and check in at 3pm (the allowed time). This seemed to annoy the staff. However we were pleasantly greeted upon arrival. Our room smelled awful of smoke and it was damp from the AC unit running. The AC unit also had a high pitch squeal for the entire time in use. The walls were very thin and when a door slammed next door, our door would also rattle loudly with a lot of “give” in the frame. The provided hair dryer was not working and the staff immediately accommodated us with a new/working one which was greatly appreciated. The booking included a continental breakfast however they only provided a bag breakfast of a microwaveable biscuit, mini muffin and a cereal bar. I understand this is due to Covid, however hotels are taking advantage by charging for continental breakfasts, and poorly providing guests with options. Overall we were disappointed in our stay but understand circumstances sometimes hinder expectations. "
