Good, the bad and the ugly

Good, bad & the ugly. Photos of the place online are the best thing about this place. The lady checking us in was very helpful. That is the good. The bad: the area is sketchy; my wife said “this is a dump” as soon as we arrived. The place is run down, in need of major upgrades, and overpriced! The ugly: some of the tenants don’t seem to have cars and appear to be long-term tenants that didn’t pay the $194 per night that I paid and some guy was yelling “Turn off the air conditioner” and banging on the walls for 30 minutes. I was ready to phone the cops.

I did not understand the directions to enter our room because the email referenced the name of the room, but itonly had a number. We did figure it our, but I believe that issue is fixed now! The room was really great. We loved the location, the decor. We were repeat visitors to Alert Bay- last time we camped- this was much more fun

Perfect place to stay in Duncan while visiting winery in the area. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunalty our room was right next to the reception on the main floor, so it was a bit noisy (could hear foot steps on the 2nd floor and people talking around). Overall, I highly recommand this hotel.
