The hotel is a typical old pub, the staff lovely and welcoming. The stairways and walls are dated, but the rooms are tidy, clean, comfortable and cosy. The full breakfast was beautiful. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again. For your evening meal we went to the Caven Arms on the recommendation of the hotel/pub manager and that was delightful too.

Friendly and helpful

Room clean and tidy with ensuite toilet, sink and powerful shower. Kettle and tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided and topped up daily as were the towels. Very nice stay.

Hotel just yards away from bus terminal , room ensuite , shower was very good , had coffee , tea and kettle as well as TV . Great value for money ,have stayed there before would stay there again . Cooked breakfast included which was very good .

I said I’d have breakfast at 9 but was up at 7 and it wasn’t a problem. Very accommodating. Nothing was a problem and it was perfect for the reason of my stay. I’d defo stay there again.

White Hart Dumfries

I stayed in the White Hart Hotel for a short break with my brother. The couple who run it were welcoming and check-in was effortless. Breakfast had a cooked option in addition to cereal etc. which we opted for. We each had a room with en suite which were spacious and clean. There were several places to eat within 10-15 minutes walk.
