Staff was friendly and great. Bed felt like the floor may have been more comfortable. Bed extremely hard, only 4 pillows on a king with no extras stored in closet etc. Refrigerator was not working, pop was warm by morning. Breakfast was mediocre, barely lukewarm. Eggs watery and sausage patties over nuked so were dry and tasted like eating cardboard.

Overall it was an ok hotel for a weekend stay. We were traveling with family and booked multiple rooms at the same time. They did not put us near each other in the hotel. Room was not really dirty but definitely was aged and could have used a deep clean. TV channels didn’t work some of the stay. Breakfast was low end of average for a free hotel breakfast. Pool was freezing. Elevator was overdue for inspection and shuttered when you were using it. The staff was friendly for the most part and overall most of these things could be overlooked for the few days we booked as we didn’t spend tons of time in the hotel anyway.

Pleasantly surprised

This is our first time staying at a Hampton Inn or Hilton hotel and we were surprised at how nice hotel was. Melissa, checked us in at the front desk and the super cheerful and helpful. Our room was nice and clean and was surprised by the walk-in shower! Breakfast had lots of options and even some healthy versions. We have family in Galena but will definitely stay here again

The dining experience was lacking. Food stuffs were low and semi-warm, not enough holding containers. The room was good for service. Also, this hotel has since charged us a room stay on Aug 23, even though we paid Expedia up front. Can your staff contact them about this?
