The hotel is situated in a great area for walking to many places in Downtown Detroit. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very relaxing. Running out of HOT water is a problem that management needs to handle quickly, and there is no excuse for the amount of money you pay to hear from guest services that it is probably because so many are showering at the same time. That would be excusable if staying at a Days Inn for $79 a night. Sounds like it has been a problem for quite some time. Also, when sitting for breakfast in the lobby, the food and coffee were just lukewarm. The service was great the food was not. The background music during our breakfast was an employee sweeping the carpets and the entranceways where guests come in, next to the seating area where you are dining. This is our second stay at the hotel, and unfortunately, we will be looking elsewhere when we come to the D again.

I bought a premium suite and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Everything was dingy and old. Carpet torn, tiles cracked, tile floor dirty and stained from years of abuse. The hotel front desk on arrival was rude. The valet didnt tag my keys and almost lost them. One night I needed a bag from my car and even after telling them I'd tip them if they brought my car over the response I got was that they didnt want to bring it over for "just my bag". Well I pay for valet, so I'm going to use it how I please. Room service shut down 30 minutes early. One night I had a employee with a cut on his face walk directly at me without stopping and almost run into me as a joke. The whole front desk laughed. Is that how you treat someone paying good money at your hotel?

Exceptional service and attentiveness by the staff, stunning, spacious suites, room service was incredible, and the hotel shuttle was a lifesaver for our concert venue just a few blocks away. Excellent stay and we cannot wait to return!
