The O.R Tambo International Airport in the capital of Johannesburg is the main airport not only in South Africa, but it also serves as the transport hub for Southern Africa serving 17 million people every year. The Cape Town International Airport in the tourist city of Cape Town is the second largest and holder of the Best African Airport award while the King Shaka International Airport serves the City of Durban after having taken over from the Durban International. Shuttle and car rental services are available from the airports but by far the most popular transportation method is by taxi.
