"The hotel is within walking distance of the North Gate to Yellowstone Park. So you are ahead of the queues that form from around 9am onwards. The room we had was up a small flight of stairs but it overlooked the yellowstone river and the mountains beyond. We often saw deer on the banks of the river and in the hotel grounds. There were tea and coffee available in the room and binoculars you could lend too. Our room had 2 easy chairs and a microwave. Although no cutlery to eat any food you may buy to heat up! There was no breakfast included but there was a restaurant on site where you could buy breakfast although a bit pricey to use everyday. The restaurant also was open for evening meals although the menu was limited to I think 5 dishes but only 2 were available when we tried and both were priced around $55 each. You could get bar food next door but this was also limited when we stayed. There are not many places to dine in this area. A lot were closed or closed down but there is a good shop within walking distance and many food outlets a 20 min walk away near the North Gate entrance. The only negative in our room was the dirty windows! But as we overhung the river I presume they have to get a team in to clean them by hanging down from the roof?"
