"It is beautifully located hotel on top of a hill, with truly stunning views over the sea (if you have sea view room). The surrounding gardens are lush and very well maintained, adding to the overall atmosphere of the property. The rooms are comfortable and in line with the hotel’s category. However, there were several issues during the stay that affected the experience. On one occasion, a member of staff entered my room without knocking while I was still asleep, which was quite uncomfortable, and no apology was offered. On another day, the room was not serviced at all, and on a different day the housekeeping was minimal — only the towels were changed, the bed was not even made. In addition, the restaurant closes quite early, and breakfast service also finishes early, which may be inconvenient for guests. There are also no nearby shops or cafés within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, the staff are polite and the hotel corresponds to its star rating, but housekeeping would certainly benefit from improvement and additional training to ensure a more consistent standard of service."

"I've written such a positive review as i was supporting a visually impaired young adult with a physical disability also, from tim of check-in to time of departure the staff went above & beyond to make it an enjoyable stay with kindness & consideration for our needs. It's an old building but has plenty of character, the rooms had the best sea view you could ask for. Everything was clean and well presented in both rooms, we couldn't have asked for more. We had our evening meal & breakfast at the hotel, both where enjoyed with a fair choice and a fair price, service was also super friendly. Really couldn't have asked for more from start to finish, i would recommend and love to stay again. Well done to The Queen's Hotel ☺️"

"The location and views are exquisite. The exterior is beautiful and gives an exciting, mysterious feel. That is where the goodness ends. As soon as you enter the hotel, you enter a bizarre, cult-like atmosphere. The reception area is covered with pictures of the owner with famous people and a whole shelf showcasing his book. His face is everywhere! The other owner is an artist whose bizarre paintings cover every available surface in the hotel. Our room with a sea view was very basic with no amenities. The bathroom is completely unacceptable. It is a plastic, modular unit tucked into the corner. I have seen larger bathrooms on airplanes. You could not raise your arms in the shower without hitting the walls. The flimsy shower curtain did not even go to the floor which meant the entire bathroom became wet and slippery. The hotel feels rundown and neglected. The wallpaper in our room was dirty and there were cracks everywhere. We left early after a strange conversation with the man at reception about religion and politics. The encounter gave me a uncomfortable feeling and we decided we did not want to stay our last night. Overall, I was very disappointed. It could be an amazing place if the owners focused more on the guest experience and not their own. "
