location was good but some issues to take note of
We paid over $3k to stay in a one bedroom condo for 5 nights. This was our fourth year in a row visiting. We typically pay half this rate but desperately needed the vacation as my mother recently passed.
Overall, location was great and the resort was very clean. Our condo did not have WIFI. We reported this and were told to connect to someone else's nearby if we could get a strong enough signal. We also noticed a strong sewer like smell checking in but weren’t sure where is was coming from until we showered. The only tub we had didn’t drain so when we showered, nasty water backed up and we stood in it for days while showering. That’s when we figured out where the smell was coming from. It was pretty bad. We were told there was no maintenance offered at check in, so we didn’t report it for 2 days until we couldn’t take it anymore. They said they’d send someone up. I think someone came by but it made little difference.
The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. Be sure to bring a hair dryer as this is not provided in the condo. I’d also bring a blanket if you’re used to sleeping with one as we do at home. Only sheets are provided and we were cold. Had to venture out to buy a blanket for our stay.
Lastly, plan to rent an umbrella on the beach. We have always brought our own with no issues as I have had numerous surgeries for skin cancer. Sadly, we were told we couldn’t use our own umbrella and had to endure the first full day at the beach with direct sun until arrangements could be made to rent one.
All in all it was a nice stay and would consider going back now that we know what changes need to be made. However, there needs to be some items corrected for future renters.
