Very handy for me as I wanted to be near to Donington Park race circuit. Very friendly, but did not do food even though said they did bar snacks. Not a problem as Castle Donington has an abundance of places to eat. Has had many racers stay there over the years including very famous ones.

Wrong bed! I booked a queen bed and it was 2 singles. No staff present, car park barrier locked us in, no one answered the phone or replied on email. Thankfully another disgruntled customer had the barrier exit code and I tailgated out. I decided to find another hotel nearby- this place is RANK

Room was very cold on arrival, very musty smell throughout the whole building, carpet in the bathroom which seems unhygienic, lots of dead spiders in the window and the room itself wasn't very clean. Whilst the online check in worked, the room was comfortable but needs a refresh as a little outdated.As it was a 'quiet period' the reception was not manned and although an emergency number was given - not to be used between 12am and 6am! As a solo female traveller not the best scenario but all ok.

The people were friendly, the food was very good, plenty of free parking. The hotel itself was fine, although our room in the courtyard was rather tired and could do with a makeover and it was impossible to get WiFi in that room. Very conveniently situated for Donington Park race circuit.
