Elevators didn't work. Extra charges for parking and only catered to those willing to pay $50 a day for valet parking. Hotel run down and in need of updates. Find a smaller cheaper hotel and don't waste your money here.

This property was a joke had to pay a hefty fee to park. Never stayed at a hotel where the guests had to pay to park. No personal coolers, so you had to buy all their over priced drinks and food. I am surprised this place didn’t charge us to breathe. No smoking but the smell of marijuana everywhere on the property would choke you. Ridiculous!!

Never Again!!!

The Hilton Resort was NOT a good resort for our experience, depending which room and tower your room is in, it was an 11 minute from our car to the room, the bathroom was not clean, our bed sucked, could feel every spring in the mattress, there are no blaconys at any of the rooms, our tub was stopped up, just the overall convenience of our stay was not great at all. The main pool by the lobby was absolutely filthy, trash floating all in the pool and some in the hot tub! This is a resort not a motel but felt like a cheap motel experience. Only good thing about our stay was the staff and bell hops.

A lot of the carpet around the property needs cleaning. The bathrooms by the pool needs attention, some of the stall spores need repair, the closure on the doors are broke. And 2 of the sinks were full of dirty water and the soap was empty & no paper towels to dry your hands.

I am always appalled when a hotel charges for on-site parking but the Hilton Oceanfront Daytona charges for unsecured, off-site parking. Upon entering the hotel the ceiling was leaking in the lobby. I checked in and was assigned a room at the absolute end of the hallway. The room was dated and there were very obvious signs of wear. The seams of the wallpaper was lifting, the sconces in the bathroom were rusted, and the bathroom was clean but the bathtub seemed to have a permanent ring around the tub. The hotel property itself also didn’t feel very secure. At the rear of the property, the hotel sits on the boardwalk and there are no gates or restrictions that separate the hotel property from the boardwalk at the ground level. There was a number of homeless people loitering and sleeping in front of the unoccupied store fronts on the ground level. When checking out I was surprised to learn that the resort fee was not included in the balance that was provided at check in and when I asked why was this not disclosed at checkout, and the desk clerk acted as if my question was somehow implausible. She was also unable to adequately explain the security deposit that would be returned.

There is very little good about this place. The cabana rooms are nice, but then ours completely flooded when it rained hard, ruining our stuff and causing us to have to move rooms, again. The first room we had in the South Tower was infested with cockroaches. After the flooding we had to take a smaller room than we had originally paid for, and it had no chair for the desk, no shower gel, flickering bathroom light. The whole place is falling apart and leaking when it rains. Only one out of the four elevators were working, making it extremely difficult to get out of or into our room after we had to move from the cabana. A few of the staff were nice, and apologetic, but the manager and other staff were unhelpful, and seemed to not really care about making things right as everything with our stay went wrong. The manager argued with us about removing the resort fees or otherwise compensating us for our extreme disappointment and discomfort when we should have been enjoying ourselves at the pool or on the beach. He only agreed to remove the upgrade charges that they put on due to them having to move us to a better room because of the hoard of cockroaches invading our original room. Absolutely ridiculous. I highly recommend not staying at this Hilton, and maybe find a hotel that is not Hilton, just to be sure.

What I didnt like is all the extra fee's I was charged thinking the trip was supposed to $254 ended up costing me over $500. Plus access to the beach was closed. I am disabled. You might want to let people know that before the book. Was a hard walk for me. Extremely overpriced and taken advantage of.. $254

Disappointing for a Hilton

Rooms were dirty. Towels and linen appear to be unwashed: hair on towels and bathroom shower walls (before we used it), bedding had false eye lashes that were not ours and were there on arrival. On our first day, only 1 of 4 elevators were working; no more than 2 elevators the entire trip Thurs-Mon. My group had 4 separate rooms and all were similar experiences. (Having difficulty uploading pics of bedding.) Only positive points were the starbucks immediately out front, how close the convention center was, and some nearby shops and dining.
