For the price, it was ok, I wasn't thrilled and it is noisy at night because of the area bars, but there are a lot of food options around, so that was a plus.

The more I looked around the room the more dirty things I found. When I first arrived the towels were dirty and there was a huge yellow stain on one of them. On the night of my last day I found brown stains on the wall by the toilet. Also, there were two nights where there was a lot of noise in surrounding rooms or the hallway. Someone was playing loud music the first night and the second it sounded like someone was beating a pipe or moving around equipment.

My biggest problem was that they did not have any beverages snacks Gatorade’s which I really did need or toothpaste or any of those necessities that regular hotels have that you can purchase. The lobby smelled sour and was not fresh. This was a birthday trip for me to see an artist at the state fair and it was a big let down. I have stayed at other Tru properties and I have never experienced anything like this.

My only complaint is the breakfast. It wasn’t the greatest. The eggs were blah, the sausage wasn’t fully cooked, the pancake maker wasn’t working. Now the good parts! The hotel was clean everywhere I went. The room was cute and cozy. The mattress was a little hard but I was so tired it didn’t matter. I loved the atmosphere. The receptionist was a jewel.
