"I traveled solo and it was the perfect respite. Check in is simple, Pilot welcomes you with a wagging tail and gives the grand tour. Having left my own furry friend at home, I was happy for his company. Furnishings are more updated than the photos show. I can't imagine anyone needing anything more than what this cottage provides. Mind your head when you climb the spiral staircase. I was grateful for the bluetooth speaker in the living room. This was a perfect solo stay, I'd recommend for couples too. You want for nothing here."

"This apartment above the Post Office in the tiny village of Owl's Head is one of the most-unique places we've stayed during our world travels. We were there over New Year's weekend, and in winter things tend to shutdown around here. However, the magnificent solitude and coastal walks out to the beautiful Owl's Head Lighthouse was just what we were looking for as a serene way to welcome in 2024. For such a small place, there's a ton of room in the apartment with a queen bed on the main level and more upstairs. We appreciated the well-stock galley kitchen, where we prepared a NYE feast of fresh local seafood. Off the back is large, elevated deck, which wasn't a great place for sitting in winter, but must be spectacular overlooking the gardens in summertime. Doug was a very helpful, gracious host who checked in via the app to ensure that we had everything we needed, and even let us have a late check out on New Year's Day. We'd highly recommend this lovely apartment, and definitely hope to come back when the weather is warmer."

"We spent our family Thanksgiving here and it was great. The house is spotless and welcoming. The views over the water are perfect to wake up to. My only comment is that the fireplace was out of commission so if you’re renting in cold weather, you might want to know this. Other than that, the house is absolutely wonderful."

"Loved this cottage and the location. We also had glorious weather for October, so also took some nice walks in the area. One simple suggestion is a better map for locating the cottage. The one we received was a bit basic and it wasn't clear that parking is at the side of the property and accessed from a different street than the address given. All in all, a bright, sunny studio space that's nicely decorated."
