The room was nice and clean, the pool was massive and my family had a great time. The customer service was great especially Miguel in the restaurant he made for a lovely dining experience. The food was on the bland side but overall a good experience.

Giving this property 2.5 stars. It was clean and quiet, don’t get me wrong, but we had hot water 2 of the 4 days there. Nothing could be done about that. The alcohol is very watered down, and I’m not much of a drinker so that says something. The breakfast was palatable, but you can definitely tell food was reused. Dinner was awful and the only other restaurant onsite was closed down by their health department. Your pool towels are rationed… not making that up. You are given a ‘towel card’ and cannot have a pool towel without exchanging that for the towel. You only get 4 slots to exchange towels. Don’t take your eyes off your towel because if it gets picked up by hotel staff and you need another one, you will be directed to the front desk who will tell you it costs $5 to replace your towel card. I had to argue with them that it wasn’t my fault my towel was picked up by staff so they reluctantly let me have another one. When I went back next day to exchange my pool towel for a clean one, they pointed out I only had one more opportunity to exchange my towel (four slots… they are serious about taking note of each rooms towel usage.. again I promise I’m not making this up). Also, the towels (pool and hotel room) are so old they are crunchy/rough. The hot tub was not hot, like, at all. Bubbles were there, but the water was not warmed up. You have to be out of the pool at 9pm. No such thing as wash clothes either. Asked for two days and was given hand towels to use instead.

Jaunita was phenomenal, very helpful and led some really great activites like snorkeling and darts and bracelet making! She was certainly a highlight of the trip :) Edgar was absolutely lovely, very personable and made every moment out in the pool area fun. From playing trivia to water aerobics, he was phenomenal! Loved the whole staff, everyone was very helpful and funny, with great suggestions on what to do and where to go. It was a lovely resort to spend a lazy week.

Taxis are super easy to get. It is within walking distance of a 7-11 and grocery store. They were renovating the restaurant so we had to eat the buffet every night. The beach is by the reef so there is no beach entry but it still has sand to lay out on. Lots of snorkeling options and fish in the reef.

The hotel was clean and the room comfortable. The staff is efficient and friendly. The standouts are Suni (hotel activities) - she is bubbly, super friendly and a real sweetheart to talk to. And Miriam (reception), friendly, efficient and always a great smile. Would definitely stay here again.

food was buffet style but usually good, breakfasts were excellent. Room was basic but clean. Pool was awesome and staff around the pool were attentive. Probably not a fancy enough resort for some folks but for a family vacation it's an excellent choice. We don't dive but folks that do would find it an excellent choice also. Dive boats left regularly from right across the street.

Getting There The trip from the airport to Puerto Morelos was full of surprises. I’ve been visiting Mexico almost every year since 1995, and this was the first time I’ve seen Route 307 in such poor condition. Vegetation was overgrown above eye level, the road had numerous potholes, many lane markings were faded or missing, and several signs were either damaged or incomplete, showing only partial directions. Upon arrival in Puerto Morelos, we encountered even more potholes and narrow, uneven streets. Parking Valet service were our only option - not ideal, especially since our room was located very close to the parking lot. The staff required us to leave the car keys with the valet attendants, which proved inconvenient; one day, it took about 20 minutes just to get our car. Restaurants The resort offers several good dining options, we loved the Mediterranean and Japanese. The cafeteria also had a wide and satisfying selection of dishes. Facilities The property itself is very attractive and well maintained. Beach The beach was comfortable and equipped with plenty of palapas for shade. However, during our stay, sargassum was a major and issue despite the continuous efforts of the staff. Pools There are two beautiful pools, both featuring swim-up bars. They were consistently clean and inviting. People The staff, overall, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I’d like to recognize Jose, Davi, Nora, Synthia, Miguel (Restaurant), Alfredo, Elder (Bar), Diana (Grill).
