First time out whole family has been together in years and it was perfect. We had a full house but it never felt crowded. Was a short walk to the river. We loved our stay and will be back.
If you’re looking for a private getaway for your family, look no further! Easy access to the river, coffee on the porch counting the endless deer, while feeling secluded from everyone around! We will definitely be returning next year!
This house has always been the perfect place for my family's visit to the Frio. It's right next to a general store, close to the river and has all the amenities that we need. It's a beautiful place!
The house is awesome and spacious, check in was easy and quick and we had zero issues with the home. We did a few day trips and at night we would make a nice fire and relax outside very peaceful and secluded. Definitely will be back, highly recommended
This house was wonderful and better than expected. The check-in process was easy and the manager was very friendly and explained all rules thoroughly. We’ll definitely be back again.
Very roomy , clean & had everything we needed . I over packed not knowing what to expect, but this place has it all ! There were 12 of us & we were very comfortable & happy with our stay .
We will stay here again ! Highly recommend 😊
The check-in process was wonderful and Maggie was great getting us all set. The property was perfect for a quiet stay during the off-season and we really liked that the house was off the main road a few hundred feet. So you felt secluded. We also liked the corner store was within walking distance and we walked to the river the day we got there. Excellent spot for a smaller group.

Float trip for Floridians
House is very nice. I really liked that it was not right on the road. Had deer in the yard every day and sitting out on the porch listening to the birds was such a nice start to the day. House nicely furnished and well equipped kitchen. Would certainly rent this property again. If Frio had been running deeper, the trip would have been perfect!!
We were looking for a short getaway for just our immediate family that was in a private location but not too far from conveniences. This hideaway did not disappoint!
The river is not too far away and the free parking passes included were helpful. Restaurants, bars and even an ice cream spot were just a few minutes drive away. Everything needed to stay-in and fix a complete meal were right there on hand, even a bar-b-que pit. Our favorite was the large fire-pit. Recommend you bring lots of firewood (its available to be purchased at the near by ice-houses, but its expensive around there).
Would definitely stay here again!!!

The cabin was perfect for my 13 member family
The cabin was cozy and clean. It could use more seating outside and in the living area. My family had to sit on the floor or on the bench from the dining room because the living area only seated 6 comfortably. There are no pillows provided so bring your own pillows, there are no towels anywhere not even in the kitchen. No closets either. Other than those problems this was an o-k stay for me and my family.
Well the lock to the side door was broken and being that we had young children is wasn’t safe. Lite of little things broken from lamps to drawers. The dryer wasn’t working so therefore we couldn’t use it. The river was the best part. Just unsafe at night.
Perfect locations! Next door to the convenience store and 2 miles away from seven bluff crossway. The owner even gives you 2 parking passes to park at their property so you do not have to pay 35 per vehicle per day at seven bluffs parking. Get your groceries before your stay since the nearest grocery store is 30 mins in Uvalde. We had 8 people and it was a perfect fit. The kids and men loved the fire pit and had smores every night. It was kinda of a pain to bring sheets and towels but we got over it. The stove also needs to be replaced since 1 burner did not work and 1 was only working on high which was annoying but manageable. All in all we had a great relaxing stay. Thanks for letting us stay at your house.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
The house was nice and in a great location to the river. Outdoor area was really nice. The downside to the house was that it had absolutely nothing that you could use in the house other than dishes and kitchen necessities. There were no sheets on any of the bed, you were asked to not use the comforters or pillows. There were no bath towels or towels to use in the river. No soap, shampoo etc. I had to drive 40 miles to buy necessities that are provided in every other home I have rented. (That were much less expensive ) I have stayed in homes for 300 per night that provided everything you need for a stay. The host was good at communicating and spent time with us explaining everything to do in the area but was very disappointed that the house had nothing needed
We had an excellent trip to the river! The house is conveniently located next door to the convenient store, so ice refills and last minute needs or beer runs were a breeze. Quick walk to the Kenneth Arthur/Second Crossing, but it's not super accessible with only one small rocky entrance. Bring limited items or strong people if you want to hang for a few hours there. The river was running low and slow, our group entered at 7 Bluffs for the float. I would have liked more information about the parking passes and the private property area access near 7 Bluffs - but I could have easily reached out to the host, she was very responsive and helpful. The house is beautiful and was the perfect size and space for our group. However, if you have elderly family members or those with limited mobility, it can be a little challenging due to the stairs and slope. TVs are not a focus, so if you have kiddos that need them, bring their tablets. I appreciate bringing our own sheets, especially since the home is pet friendly. But providing our own beach and bath and hand towels took up a lot of additional space in our vehicles and seemed a little unusual compared to other homes I have booked previously. If you are picky about your cookware, utensils, or drinkware, bring your own - the items provided are used and abused by lots of folks throughout the seasons. Lots of fans were WONDERFUL! Keep the bedroom doors closed throughout the day and the oscillating fans on - you're welcome. :)
My family and friends were in Uvalde for a dove hunting weekend and needed lodging. We hunted in the morning and afternoon which didn't leave us much time for local activities. The house was just the right size for our group and very accommodating.
The house was in a good location close to second crossing. We had not been out to the River in years and was a great experience, look forward to doing it again next year.
I loved it.. it was spacious... The house was beautiful and the yard outside was just right.. you have privacy with the woods surroundings.. it's a lil drive to the river but it was great for me and my family...
