Disliked: Cleanliness
While the home appears updated and nicely decorated, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail were very disappointing. The towels provided for our group were not clean- each had long hairs on them and an unpleasant odor. The bedding was also an issue, with ill-fitting sheets that barely covered the mattress and visible stains. The comforters did not seem freshly washed and had a mildew-like smell mixed with cologne.We also encountered a cockroach in the kitchen, which we woke up to, raising further concerns about cleanliness.Beyond that, there were several overlooked issues. There were hornet nests at both the front porch and back door, which felt unsafe. Additionally, the American flag displayed outside was visibly shredded, which comes across as disrespectful, especially given the home’s proximity to a military base.The surrounding area did not feel safe, with several nearby homes boarded up. As out-of-state visitors, this was not something we were aware of when booking.Overall, the lack of cleanliness and attention to basic upkeep significantly impacted our stay.
