Hi, enjoyed our visit at hotel Oslo. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. And we especially enjoyed the fact that in the evening there were so many restaurants close by with excellent food. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant and the policeman helped us find a very good Portuguese restaurant. We did take a Uber up to the university for a tour because it was a steep uphill climb and we are getting older. I suggest that the city market would be fun to visit if you walk back from the university towards the hotel.
Very good Portuguese restaurant. The police officers suggested we order some thing with bones.
This was a very good Italian restaurant. The lady was making homemade gnocchi and we enjoyed them.

Well the room was very clean along with the hotel in general. Price was very reasonable and the location is great, cross the street and you are in the historic centre. Add to this, an included breakfast which is simply great and always stocked. Add a roof top bar which has an unrivalled view of the historic town of Coimbra. Ten there is the included indoor parking. Just across the street. Once caveat regarding the parking, it is tight and if you are arriving in a full sized SUV it is likely to be tight. We parked a small Nissan Juke and it was an adventure driving in an out and parking. Europeans will be fine but for North Americans, make sure your rental is small :) But without doubt we would return to the Oslo without any doubt!

Breakfast was excellent! Exceptional staff! Small pastry shop across the street had coffee available in the wee hours. A lot of small shops in the area were closed, so not a lot of tourist activity. Good walking shoes are a must for anywhere in Portugal!

My husband and I were touring around Portugal for 9 days so we had many hotel bookings. When we got to Coimbra I kept in mind some of the less than desirable reviews on this hotel. Well being from the NY/NJ area we are use to being inconvenienced. There was nothing inconvenient about this hotel. You can pull up in front, unload and there is a gratis parking garage right across the street. The hotel has been renovated and we upgraded our room to a room with a balcony for 35 euro. The rooms are clean, the balcony and rooftop views were great. It's an older city so buildings are older in appearance. This hotel is a fine place to stay when traveling through. The breakfast was also very nice.
