This property is a very spacious 3rd floor walk-up located right in the heart of the old town city center. Furnishings and accommodations were more comfortable than many rentals we’ve stayed in. And there are towel hooks in the bathroom! - a concept many owners don’t seem to grasp. The ease of walking to historic sites, shops and restaurants was a real plus. The only negatives were that the bathroom had not been cleaned adequately (a message to the property owner solved that quickly), and in the evenings it could noisy with the windows open when families arrived home. There was also a group of unsavory characters that hung out on the street a few doors down in the evening, drinking and talking loudly. One night they were there very late, and one night the police came by to disperse them, but they returned quickly. It was uncomfortable to walk by them to go out in the evening. I was glad I was with my husband. This last negative is of course not a fault of the property owner, but is a consideration for any renters.
