First, I did not receive any communication about checking in. I messaged the owner about 25 minutes before arriving and received the entrance code. We arrived in the evening and it was clear that the property had not been cleaned after the last guests - dirty linens, towels, dishes, bathroom, etc. I called the owner who quickly admitted that he and his partner essentially lost track of our reservation. He directed us to some clean linens to make our own bed for the night. At 2:00 pm the following day a cleaning crew came which was timely because we had 4 more guests coming that night. We used the property to attend a graduation at Case. The home has the bedrooms and bathrooms as advertised. It is 4 blocks north of the campus border. The block it is on is transitional- a house next door and a house across the street are vacant. It is minimally equipped - no soap for showers, basic kitchen pots and pans - and gas a few cosmetic issues (a little broken flooring, some missing lightbulbs, etc). There is no exhaust fan for the stovetop - the fire alarm went off once while cooking. Overall we needed a location with 4 bedrooms for 6 people to sleep, shower, make breakfast and spend a few hours of downtime in the afternoon on the porch (which is nice). This property did that for a fair price.
