Very clean and comfortable. We stayed a few days. Less than average breakfast buffet. Only a few items that we ok. The restaurant and bar was closed otherwise for our stay. The housekeeping was tough. We had ask at the end of the day to do our room and again ask for coffee packets since were leaving

Just had a short visit to Christchurch, fabulous Hotel which made our holiday. Staff were more than helpful. Hotel was spotless. Made our stay so enjoyable.Helpful with directions to eating places, told us all the entertaining things available. Will be booking again.

Excellent site for closeness to Christchurch city centre. We were let down by the fact that the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Breakfast service was so slow, 40minutes plus, to provide two eggs on toast!

All rooms are not created equal. For example, not all rooms have proper coffee service. My room was instant coffee. Yuck. I had to ask for the room to be made up on the second day, even with the sign on the door. I had no housekeeping service on the first day. The hotel looks under-utilized with empty hallways, elevators, reception. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. I didn’t use it.

Theoretically a good location in Christchurch. Rooms and service were fine, only unfortunate thing were the two homeless gentleman that were camping out in front of the hotel right next to the entrance that felt the need to comment when walked by.

Very clean and updated room. Arrived late due to flight being cancelled and left early to take tranzalpine train so can’t fault this place at all. Too bad we couldn’t stay longer

No room service. Breakfast uninspired and self-service buffet (sugary small pastries, the cheapest white bread for toast; warmer trays of dry scrambled egg, raw ‘grilled’ tomatoes, cheap sausage and limp bacon) and filter coffee in a flask. Not acceptable for Christchurch’s newest hotel! I walked 2 minutes to Riverside and had a great breakfast for $15. Rooms clean and tidy but no staff after hours. And the entrance adjoins Kentucky FriedChicken outlet so many homeless people outside. Central Hotel but priced too high for what it offers - which is just a room and a franchise roof top restaurant.

Would have liked to have tried the Bar - Open - but didn't realise it was closed Sundays and Mondays and we were busy Saturday. Lovely room with a view towards the Cathedral and the Spark Building. The room was spacious and had all that we needed. My only concern is the 2 homeless people that slept outside the entrance to the Hotel all weekend. They didn't cause any bother that I saw but very off putting. The receptionist said the Police keep an eye on them but they never moved. Thanks to the Hotel for giving us a late checkout on our last morning. Much appreciated.
