The room was excellent, lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and were happy to help. Breakfast was lovely. There isn't a huge amount of parking so this could be a problem if the hotel is busy.

The property is an old building in desperate for modernising and freshening up. The carpets are extremely aged and dirty, the shower was basically trickling, not running of cold water and therefore ended up having to have a dry wash from the toilet sink

On arrival they tried to charge me the full amount when I had already paid half as a deposit. Not a great start. Room was very small and a little tired but clean. Bathroom very clean. Bed was comfy but pillows were thin and very firm. Not a great night’s sleep thanks to whining of an extractor fan somewhere in the hotel that went on all night and very thin curtains which meant an early wake up. Great location though.
