Been before, but this was not as good, staff were helpful as expected, however the room we were given was not acceptable, the toilet had been used and was blocked. We were given a replacement. My overall opinion is the room was looking a bit tired and in need of an upgrade , the bathroom was not as good ,the shower head was poor water flow and not as clean as i would have liked. There was not enough tea and coffee and milk. The tv remote batteries were flat. The windows need secondary glazing as traffic noise was bad, We use IGH hotels a few times in different city's and think the crowne plaza chester is a good hotel, but needs some attention to details for customer satisfaction. We will probably try elsewhere in chester next time

the bar area and restaurant areas are good, but the hotel is let down by the bedrooms. Ours, this time, was terrible. sofa bed not made up, stains on walls, rust stain in bath, shower barely flowing. Air con non-existent and room was hot with no windows to open

Would have given 5 stars but were not given access to club room despite being included until enquired on second day. Complimentary drink didn’t quite make up for that. On gaining access to the club room it was unfortunately rather disappointing. Notwithstanding staff were on the whole very helpful and accommodating. Excellent food and service. Would definitely stay again due to convenient location but would not bother with premium club room.

Terrible Check in experience had to wait for a long time only to be told our Room wasn't ready yet which is a suprise to me as House keeping Knocked my room door 🚪 before 10am on my Departure day to see if I was ready for leaving my room yet . The Bar staff were nice Friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. Car parking at £17 per night is expensive i thought and considering I got blocked in by another Car when I was leaving I thought the car park was poor and very Tight. My Room was Wondering Clean fresh and modern very happy with that but overall Disappointed with our Short Stay at the Hotel and Will try somewhere different next month.

Staff were lovely throughout. No problems at all with the Hotel and it is really, really convenient for seeing Chester - our first time of visiting and we really enjoyed it. Used the train to get there and Uber to get around and it was all so easy. Would certainly like to go to Chester again and would definitely use the same hotel. PS Go to Chez Jules for a nice evening out.

Great place very central to Chester
