This was my husbands first time in Chesapeake in 30 years so we intentionally chose a Hampton hotel to attend his parents 55th wedding anniversary. The staff was phenomenal, especially Ebony. Our room however, was not great. The shower curtain was too short for the tub so water puddled on the floor, causing the restroom door to expand and not close properly. The sink faucet water was cold not matter how long it ran. Then there’s was the fire alarm the morning of October 27th at 2:30am. Great staff, but very forgettable experience.

The fire alarm came on around 2am, had to evacuate until the Fire Department cleared everyone to come back inside, and it wasn't any running water in the whole hotel to take a shower before I checked out this morning. I wasn't happy at all about that!

Our check in took too long, for a young man at the front desk was new, and trying to resolve an issue with the guests in front of us. He kept having to leave to seek assistance. In the meantime a line of guests had forned. After 15 minutes, finally, another representative came out to assist guests. When we arrived toour room, the mattresses were thin and worn out. Our sleep was not comfortable.

Great parking, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Only complaints are the thermostat on the hot tub was faulty so it wasn't hot - they said the part was on order to fix, and the water in the shower was just warm on 3 occasions and either wouldn't get hot or started out hot and then turned luke warm. Otherwise was a great stay.
