Refuges Le torrent is an ecotourism accommodation site located in the Lanaudière region, only 1 hour from Montreal.
Our yurt is a round Mongolian-inspired tent adapted to the Quebec climate, for a camping experience that is as comfortable in summer as it is in winter. You can access it at the end of a forest trail of about ten minutes of operation, where you discover the yurt nestled in the hollow of the mountain, with its windows opening onto the evolving spectacle of a river all in cascades.
You will have your coffee in the morning by the wood stove, you will settle in the afternoon in a hammock to take a nap or read a book among our selection of Quebec authors, you'll gaze at the stars in the evening through the glass dome, before falling asleep to the gentle sound of the river.

ACCESS TO THE RIVER AND THE LAKEPGJyPgPGJyPgThe yurt is located by the river. You will have exclusive access to the shoreline and its facilities (fire pit, picnic table, suspended teepee, hammocks). The water flows through the rocks. The river is deeper in some places. In summer, you can fully immerse yourself and swim (unsupervised swimming).
Lake Chantelle lake is located about fifteen minutes from the site. It is accessed by a small grassy beach shared with the residents of the lake.

INDEPENDENT CLEANING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
The self-contained formula allows you to enjoy the place longer on the day of your departure (you can stay until 2 p.m.).
You are responsible for leaving the place as clean as you found it (washing and storing used dishes, vacuuming, etc.).
At Le Torrent refuges, we are committed to minimizing the ecological impact of human presence in the forest. Throughout your stay, we invite you to sort your waste: recyclable materials in the recycling bin inside the yurt, compostable materials in the compost bin a few steps outside the yurt.
