The hotel was "under a reno". Obvious areas construction related were seen, but there were things that were a concern in our room. It is definitely an older facility in much need of updating. No issue with staff though, and breakfast was pretty typical.

I know work is going on at the hotel but even besides that it was horrible. The old building smells of smoke everywhere. Smoke. They tried smoke blocker but it isn't working. I have stayed in many hotels and this is easily one of the worse I have stayed at. Breakfast was ok and the staff friendly though.

Wouldn't stay here again

I didn't realize the "North Building" was actually a separate building. We were in room 157 which was supposed to be an updated room but the repairs completed in the bathroom were terrible. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the railing in the tub was rusted, the toilet paper holder came off the wall each time it was used, the tile was chipped - the workmanship was terrible. It was a non smoking room but the bureau that housed the mini fridge absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke each time the door to get into the fridge was opened. It was terribly noisy and that might have been reduced if there was a door at the end of the hallway leading from the rooms to the entrance. I would have tried the pool but would have either had to cross the street or take the underground tunnel to get to it.

Ramp at the back entrance is not secure. My partner tried to go to the car and the ramp was not centered. When she stepped out the door she stepped on the side of the ramp and sprained her ankle and cut open her knee. Called the hotel for baind aids and icebag, they brought a first aid kit with no braid aids in it and a ziplock bag, told us to go up a floor if we wanted ice for her sprained ankle. When we went to check out we told the staff at the experience we had and as we were leaving we heard the women working laugh at us. Absolutely terrible experience with the staff. Won't be stay here again.

Parking was descent, very close to main streets....hotel was under renovation and felt like you were in construction zone where room was located....room was very quiet during sleeping hours also room was clean and of good size. Also a positive point to mention is some jewelry was left behind accidentally and the staff recovered it and turned it into the lost and found. Very high regards for the honesty and integrity of the staff for this.

Property was convenient and quite close to downtown/waterfront. Property is under renovation presently, so hallways were a bit dirty and water use was limited at times. Unable to open any windows in room, and air conditioning was not optimal.

the room was very very basic. one piece of soap one inch x half inch, two thin bath towels, nowhere to hang anything like a suit or dress. the fire escape door which was on the bottom floor (three floors down) was locked and would pose a significant safety risk in a fire emergency. this was mentioned to two managers working the front desk. the room was spotless and was well-appointed with lighting.

the pool was dirty and the liner definetly needed to be cleaned and there was stuff floating around the bathroom was awful, the water pipe came off the wall, you could see where there was caulking just put over the old stuff where it looked like blue mold, very limited breakfast, room was very small, and the view was a roof, the bedding and mattress were lumpy like someone just threw the sheets on top, I was not pleased and give this hotel a 0 rating and hopefully i can get a credit of some sort.
